🎮 Nike Fully Jumps Into Web3

Let’s deconstruct the myth about Nikeland being an instant success and proof point of why brands need to enter the #metaverse because you’re going to be in for a very big shock. I see these overinflated numbers and exciting claims being thrown around everywhere right now, ranging from 5m to 21m visitors to the experience in but it’s just not as simple as you might think. Nike Roblox For a start, the official number reported by Nike themselves at a quarterly earnings call was (6.7m) 7m visitors across 224 countries. What they didn’t report (and most likely won’t know or will never reveal) is just how many visitors are returning over again. We also don’t know just how much of this is tied to Roblox’s user growth, which has exploded from 16M in 2019 to 54M in 2022 — it could very well track that new players entering Roblox are naturally curious and want to dick about in Nikeland but don’t have much brand affinity with them before and there’s no way to track if they do when they leave either. Now we get to the scary part, the bit that is going to rattle the marketing dept because the newly appointed Chief Metaverse Officer sold them the dream and they’re picking up the tab. Nikeland is more than just a virtual storefront. This is the bit everyone seems to ignore, including the recent woeful attempt by Bloomingdales to create a 3D retail experience. Nikeland is a store, with a branded goods experience, celebrity endorsements, physical retail activation, and mini-games that are constantly being released and can be fully interacted with on the Roblox platform. Nike spent a fortune on ad spending across Twitter and Instagram and also used a song by Drake to attract a particular demographic. $60k on Instagram to net 4m views across two adverts, and this doesn’t include retargeting spend. They’re one of the most followed accounts on Instagram, but that’s no overnight success. And that’s money that some businesses can’t even allocate annually and it doesn’t take into account the cost of building the experience in Roblox in the first place! Nikeland visitors could participate in games such as tag, the floor is lava, and dodgeball with their friends and allowed visitors to create their mini-games using in-game elements, including tennis court patterns and nets, basketball hoops, and benches for passive users. Nike used its House of Innovation in-store experience to push the boundaries even further. For the month-long initiative, Nike turned the kids’ floor into an augmented reality version of Nikeland, allowing shoppers to use the Snap lenses to alter their 3D avatars with Nike products and play games. Aside from roping in Drake, they also leveraged LeBron to draw even more visitors into their branded metaverse experience. Celebrity endorsements don’t come cheap. Are we still keeping the score? And all this still doesn’t take into account the $1bn they paid to acquire RTFKT and turn it into Nike Virtual Studios to create the experiences in the first place. “With Nike Virtual Studios, our vision is to take our best-in-class experiences in digital and build Web3 products and experiences to scale this community so that Nike and our members can create, share and benefit together.” Nike Digital now accounts for over 25% of its revenues and was recently boosted by the $185m it made on its NFT collection. Now — tell me just how much of overnight success and replicable Nikeland is for every brand and business that is attracted to the metaverse and lured in by Web3 this is. Now tell me that when you’re approached by an agency or startup promising to build you an experience in The Sandbox, Dececntraland, or even Roblox that they’re also guaranteeing it’ll be a massive and easy success, and that they’ll point to the numbers of Nikeland as proof. Because there are going to be a lot of empty virtual worlds and emptied marketing budgets over the next few years for organizations that fall for the slick sales pitch. Also Published here

Did the Nikeland Metaverse Project Fail?

For nearly two decades of working with large scale companies, I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing people at the category leaders in the world, including people at Amazon, Google, GSK, Samsung, Airbus, Nike, and more — but there has been a common dilemma facing all these companies — the internal innovation chasm. The design, product, and innovation leaders I’ve worked with have frequently been swimming upstream in their mandate — being told the company demands and supports radical, user-driven innovation, while the reality they face is that innovation of new products and experiences is mostly achieved in non-disruptive, linear approaches. This is not because linearity is what companies or leaders desire, but because they don’t have the means to prove that taking a leap will pay off.‍ Their reality includes: “We need proof from user research that this is valuable” — but it costs too much to get a meaningful sample size of the feedback “You’re asking for too much budget and too much time. Give me something I can ship next sprint.” “These prototypes are just concepts, they aren’t testable.” “All the developers are assigned to shipping features on the existing product, just make a Figma prototype.” Sound familiar? Design and product strategies may help us establish goals of where we’d like our products to be and what problems they’ll solve, but, more often than not, our path is defined by setting a work-back trajectory of how to include features one at a time rather than visionary strategy. This forgoes a true leap to version 2.0 and should be seen more like a perpetual march to version 1. x. While serious resources can be spent on creative vision, rarely is anyone given the tools to properly test an idea in-market quickly at high fidelity. Even more rarely can teams figure out how to get their vision to market fast and continue to build and perfect it with the confidence of their company behind them. This all gives context to the questions my team at Noodl and I have been asking ourselves: How can we achieve design-driven innovative leaps in complex, risk-averse organizations? How can teams continuously build entirely new or V2 products driven by real insights? How can we ensure that companies amid digital transformation don’t simply emulate sub-optimal approaches to innovation? What if we could shed the weight that holds us down and float right over the innovation chasm? What if we could empower a new creative class of professionals to create visionary software without the cost or bottlenecks of building expensive engineering teams? If your team is ready, one part of the answer is adopting design-driven processes to innovation. The next step is equipping team members with design programming skills and methodologies. Cutting out the need for in-sourcing our outsourcing can steer resources (aka time and money) back to iteration with real users. When the most innovative people have the skills to create production-grade MVPs themselves that they can test with users, they can generate insights at light speed and even take decisions on the fly where appropriate. The Rise of Gen Z and the Sneaker Craze - Shoes on the Blockchain The global sneaker industry is set to grow to a value of 120$ billion by 2026 from a current market capitalization of $79 billion. The shoe business is an enormous opportunity given its rapid expansion across cultures and continents. However, with more companies targeting the already flooding sneaker market, the sneaker giants such as Nike and Adidas are eyeing the tokenization of sneakers as the next play, which will create a new digital market for sneakers altogether. For example, when a customer purchases a genuine pair of shoes, a digital version of the shoe may be created, connected to the customer, and given a cryptographic token, the digital shoe and cryptographic token being a crypto sneaker as a whole. Last year, collectors and sneakers enthusiasts bought and resold $6 billion of sneakers, including limited-edition pairs on the secondary market. With companies like Sneakmart launching products such as Metakicks, which allows users to receive tokenized sneakers generated at random, the possibilities of using sneakers with blockchain technology is endless. NFT mystery boxes contain a random NFT from a collection. Buying a mystery box gives users the chance to receive a special or rare sneaker product at a relatively low price. Users want to show off their digital kicks, which they have created as they do in the physical world or resell it for a profit, exemplifying the new age of transformation. With celebrities endorsement such as soccer pairs created by former international soccer star Didier Drogba, the possibilities for collaboration are endless. The Rise of Sneakers NFTs Nike sees the acquisition of RTFKT as a way to extend its digital presence and its capabilities. Nike isn’t the only corporation jumping on the NFT bandwagon.  Adidas reaped nearly $22 million from the sale of the digital tokens, sold for 0.2 ETH each. A future where digital sneakers are an essential aspect of our identities is difficult to predict. With everyone from venture capital, private equity funds, banker, chipmakers to artists to fashion labels getting ready for the metaverse, it feels imminent—and businesses like Nike, Adidas, and others will be there to ensure our virtual feet aren’t bare. People ready to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a pair of digital shoes may soon make this a new normal and multi-billion dollar industry. It’s difficult to determine a future where digital sneakers will be a fundamental part of our identities. It seems inevitable with Nike, Adidas, RKFT, Sneakmart, Meta, fashion labels, and everyone else gearing up for the metaverse and its impact on our society. In the case of Nike's shoes and sportswear: they run and train! And this is what Nike Running Club is — a running/fitness tracker. 'The result of the result' is my favorite expression about deeper value behind the 'tangible' result. Say, you can run every morning for great energy, or great looks, or for feeling superior to your peers (non-runners). All different results behind the (what seems to be) same result! Nike Running community result? Well, if they measure their training, they can brag about the result to their followers! In 2022, the Nike Run Club app had 100+ million users, growing membership by 30% per year. They offer activities to unite users: weekly Group Runs, Races, Training Programs, etc. Other engagement boosters: Segmentation: Content is tailored for subcommunities (gender, location, etc.) to enhance the engagement. Community Events: Every March, Nike celebrates the Air Max, one of its all-time best-selling sneakers. But what streaming became is gaining popularity among other players (and money). To treat the community with rewards, Twitch created more opportunities for users' meetings and boosted audiences. Twitch conducts a semi-annual gaming convention called TwitchCon. In December 2022 they also announced Twitch Unity Guilds, a program for networking, development, and celebration. How to Build a Brand Community: Hacks From Nike, Lego and Twitch

2021 will be forever remembered as the year of NFTs, when this particular sector of the crypto industry exploded, bringing millions of buyers, sellers, collectors, artists, celebrities, and even companies to start working with NFTs. with some of them, so I see that the hype is real. I’m working But, even though it seems like everyone is playing the NFT game these days, that is not entirely the case, and we were interested in seeing which are the biggest names and brands that have actually already jumped on the NFT bandwagon in the year when it exploded. 1. eBay eBay has a massive presence in online shopping, and so its decision to embrace the NFT sector was a major move earlier this year. The company said back in May that it will allow NFT sales on its platform, allowing users to buy and sell digital collectibles at any time. The move came after a few extremely successful months that the NFT sector saw, with billions of dollars in NFT purchases in the first half of 2021 alone. eBay has already invested heavily in infrastructure for physical collectibles, such as trading cards, sneakers, watches, and more, and this has gone a long way in terms of buyer verification. However, buying digital collectibles is not user-friendly, and so eBay entered the sector knowing that it will have to work on adapting the infrastructure. 2. NBA Another major example came when the National Basketball League, also known as NBA, entered the NFT movement. The League invested heavily in digital-first outreach programs throughout European markets, which led to a global campaign featuring sports stars from all over the world. The NBA also teamed up with a number of well-known individuals, including rapper Quavo. Meanwhile, the League’s VP and head of fan engagement and DTC for the NBA, Europe, and the Middle East, George Aivazoglou, said that the decision to go NFT helped the League accelerate some aspects of the overall fan experience, and pivot to a digital-first, direct-to-consumer approach. And don’t forget about the project, built on the FLOW blockchain. It already has NBA TopShot hundreds of thousands of fans. 3. Nike Nike needs no introduction, as the athletic apparel and footwear giant is known throughout the world for its products. Now, however, it is also known for dabbling with non-fungible tokens, although it is not using them for digital art, but rather as a patent for its footwear. The company’s initiative is called Cryptokick, and it is an NFT series that removes barriers between digital and physical worlds. Basically, as soon as the physical shoe and its NFT counterpart are linked, and the user purchases a physical shoe, its digital version will become available in their ‘virtual locker.’ That way, if the user ever sells the physical shoe, they will also be selling the digital one. Meanwhile, the virtual shoe can change characteristics, crossbreed, and more. 4. Ellen DeGeneres Ellen DeGeneres has been encountering cryptocurrencies on her show ever since Ashton Kutcher’s donation to her charity all those years ago, and when the NFTs went big, the popular comedian and talk show host did not waste any time in dipping her toes into the newly emerged crypto sector. DeGeneres used the NFT market to sell a picture of a cat, which actually did extremely well. The picture was sold for $33,495, and Ellen donated it to the World Central Kitchen, showing that NFTs can be used for charitable purposes, as well. 5. Mark Cuban NFTs have also caught the eye of billionaires, such as Mark Cuban, who sold his company in 1999 to Yahoo! For $5.7 billion of Yahoo stock. Now, he is getting very much into the NFT market, selling NFTs of his tweets for around $1,000 per piece. Cuban also said directly that if he were starting a business today, he would build it on blockchain technology and the NFT sector, which is a major endorsement coming from such a successful entrepreneur and businessman. Given his NFT tweet sales, Cuban seems to not only believe in his own advice, but he actually follows it, which is proof enough that his statement was not just empty words. This direct engagement allows the customer to experience the product or service firsthand – to touch it, to feel it, to participate in it, and to immerse himself in the entire experience. Volkswagon: Piano Staircase As the automotive industry started to take big leaps into environmentally friendly products, Volkswagen wanted to help make people’s personal habits healthier to go along with it. — and its partner, DDB Stockholm, an ad agency — “fun is the easiest way to change people’s behavior for the better.” According to Volkswagen According to the video below, 66% more people chose the stairs over the escalator at that particular subway terminal, as a result of Volkswagen’s piano staircase Coca-Cola: Unlock the 007 in you. You have 70 seconds To announce the next stage in it’s partnership with SKYFALL, Coca-Cola Zero challenged some people to unlock the 007 in them and get a chance to win exclusive tickets to the latest Bond movie. The event took place in the busiest train station in Belgium, so thousands of commuters witnessed the contest. But more importantly we directly touched more than 10 million through an online film (made from the live event). Which made this film the most watched online film in Coke history. With over 1.000.000 shares, the online movie quickly became a top 20 most shared film in the world in 2012. Nike: Livestrong Chalkbot Nike carved its name in experiential marketing with this award-winning campaign, meant to raise cancer awareness and promote Livestrong, the cancer foundation of Tour de France perennial champion Lance Armstrong, who is also famous for being a cancer survivor. In the Livestrong Chalkbot interactive campaign, Nike’s ad agency Wieden + Kennedy commissioned Deeplocal and Standard Robot to build a purpose-built roving machine. Tweets, SMS and other messages via web banners and WearYellow.com were collected from Tour fans and spectators from all over the world, and the Chalkbot sprayed these messages in yellow chalk on the roads of the Tour de France 2009 route. The world, especially those who participated in sending messages, became witness to the messages chalked on the roads for the three-week duration of the Tour. According to Nike, this campaign brought its apparel sales up by a whopping 46%. Ikea: Big Sleepover In 2011, Ikea customers created a fan group expressing their desire to have a sleepover at Ikea. The group became hugely popular with over 100,000 members, and so Ikea decided to take up their offer. The company offered 100 people from the group the opportunity to have a sleepover in their Essex store. The night consisted not only of the opportunity to utilise their products and receive sleep advice, but to also receive pampering services such as manicures and massages. The virality of the group, matched with the follow through from Ikea, meant that the brand enhanced their profile as being homely and friendly and created more brand advocates to spread word-of-mouth recommendations. Lay’s: Human Claw Bringing together a classic childhood gamification and the allure of free food experience, Lay’s Japan created the “Human Claw” interactive display, which enticed people to get strapped up in a harness and hover over a huge bin filled with packets of Lay’s crisps to grab as many as possible. This fun idea became a hugely popular attraction, as it was a recognisable game that gave people the opportunity to win multiple prizes based on skill and effort, and doubled as the chance to provide product sampling. Involving customers in this way creates a sense of desire for the product; even if the participants aren’t successful in collecting many packets, or miss out on the chance to participate, then the image of Lay’s will become more front-of-mind. The result of this campaign was extraordinary with over 18 million online views, which broke the record for a non-media-buying campaign in Taiwan. It is quite interesting to see the power of experiential marketing and the effectiveness of using an experience to promote a product or service. If brands truly want to connect with customers, they must find a deeper way to build trust, and leverage on creating memorable experiences for their customers.

Experiential Marketing: Nike, VW, Ikea, Lay's and Coca-Cola Examples

Over the past 3 years, it’s become apparent that cryptocurrency payments are becoming increasingly popular, particularly peer to peer and in developing countries. What’s just as obvious though, is that big and small merchants alike, understandably don’t want to deal with two key hurdles of accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method: Volatility & Security. Bitcoin and Ethereum as money has its benefits, particularly in countries that suffer from highly volatile state currencies. It’s borderless, often very low in fees and believe it or not, sometimes even less volatile than traditional currency. In August 2018, the Turkish Lira collapsed by 20% in a single day, eerily reminiscent of the moves we saw in the cryptocurrency bear market. The Turkish also now hold more crypto than any other European nation, and while that’s more likely for its upside potential than any desire to use it as money, they may also see it as a hedge against their own currency. In recent years, we’ve also seen an explosion of peer to peer payments with cryptocurrencies in many countries such as Philippines, Chile and of course Venezuela, with LocalBitcoins (a bitcoin peer to peer exchange) weekly volumes reaching an average of 40-60 million USD a week in 2019. In countries like the US and UK, these peer to peer figures are a little lower, but the number of crypto holders is still extremely high and growing daily. Getting cryptocurrency accepted at your favourite retailers is not so easy.  Looking at two examples, Nike & Uber, we can visualise the requirement for a entire new (or multiple new) departments, consider regulatory and legal, responsibility over wallets, and even access to a liquid exchange where you can sell into fiat quickly. It becomes a game of risk management as its likely considered a high-risk asset. In the case of Uber - does a driver really want to accept cryptocurrency when the price may drop by 5% the moment the passenger pays? The solution here for payments is stablecoins - asset backed cryptocurrencies that reflect real money, like USD or GBP. Though having stablecoins and being able to exchange them for their real world counterpart seamlessly, and instantly, is another problem that desperately needs a scalable solution. There are also considerable security concerns - given that the business (e.g. Nike) would now have sole responsibility over their funds internally.  Who would be in charge of the wallet and private keys? At the moment, sending, receiving, saving and spending completely lack synergy due to a lack of user friendly tools and infrastructure. However, movements are now being made toward not only more secure but more user friendly wallets through the use of technology like social recovery (recover your private key using trusted contacts), multi-signatures  (multiple people needed to access the wallet), and overall better user experience with more seamless features. Crypto is clunky, but some of the infrastructure is there, and the super slick user interfaces are coming sooner than you think. A future where retailers feel more comfortable holding might not be as far off as we think, but it’s still a certainty they will want stable cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies like GBP and USD as an option. Some crypto startups are now focusing on creating front end solutions with built-in payments infrastructure that allows a merchant to accept cryptocurrency, but not receive it, and instead receive fiat currency like GBP, or stable, asset backed cryptocurrencies like Paxos or TGBP. These wallet services will rapidly increase in popularity as merchants push to be ahead of the curve and accessible for more customers, especially with software that’s plug and play, so long as it remains easy to integrate with the existing business payments infrastructure. Two things to keep in mind in 2020 with all the above considered: not only do millennials now have the most spending power of any generation on the planet, but one in five of them own cryptocurrency. With this considered, it’s about time merchants (and investors) took cryptocurrency payments seriously. Nike has already filed a patent for “CryptoKicks” - and my Uber driver told me to buy XRP, so I’d say we are well on our way to mainstream crypto payments.

There are at least two reasons why people know about the tradition of welcome kits: Employees are proud of their new workplaces and post pictures of their desks on Instagram. HR departments collaborate with marketing specialists and deliberately post these pictures on company social media pages to show how cool it is to work there. Salesforce Their welcome kit contains books, stickers, a gift certificate, a name tag, and, very importantly, a toy gun. 2. is an American manufacturer of athletic clothes, shoes, and equipment. The company was founded in 1964, and it employs more than 73,000 people around the world. This is the North American marketing team’s welcome kit. Nike The items are exactly what you’d expect from a marketing team. There’s a cup, a calendar, headphones, and a pin. It’s all presented in a memorable box. 3. is one of the largest hardware and software companies in the world. It was founded in 1911 (108 years ago!). They employ more than 350,000 people in 170 countries. Here’s a sample welcome kit posted by an employee on social media. You can see that IBM loves coffee and thinking. They especially love writing down what they think up. IBM 4. is a company many of us remember from when we were kids. This Japanese video game company was founded in 1960 and employs more than 5,000 people. Sega Their welcome kit includes a couple bags, some comics, organizers/notebooks, and a bit of nostalgia — a portrait of the legendary Sonic. 5. is one of the most popular hosting providers in the world. The company was founded in 2011, and in 2017 it reached over one-million clients. They have over 500 employees. DigitalOcean They attach balloons to the desks of new employees, and they give them packs of t-shirts, huge plush slippers, and metal water bottles. 6. is an online store that made its appearance in 2013 by announcing that it wanted to bring an end to waiting in line at the store. The company delivers wholesale goods and products in boxes. Boxed So of course their new employee welcome kit is packaged in their signature box (a smaller version than the one that Boxed clients are familiar with). It’s basically a small office. 7. is a mobile marketing service that was founded in 2014. They employ more than 300 people. Branch The company doesn’t care as much about “flat lay” — the clothes are just folded and placed on the table. But new hires do get a Moleskine notebook and one of the most important books about startups — From Zero to One, by Peter Thiel. 8. is a service for cryptocurrency wallets and cryptocurrency exchange. They have about 500 employees. The company was founded in 2012 and successfully completed the accelerator program. Coinbase Y Combinator Here’s the layout of their welcome kit. An interesting thing thought of adding is an iPhone charger. 9. is one of the most well-known marketing and PR agencies in the world. It was founded in 1948 and currently has 10,000 employees in 83 countries. Ogilvy & Mather Theirs is perhaps the most stylish kit on this list. It has lots of paper goods in it — from aesthetically pleasing cards to an office plan. There’s also a secret red book in the box, by David Ogilvy, the founder of the company. This book isn’t available in stores, and you can only get it if you work at the agency (although a former employee is selling it “third-party” on Amazon for ). $60 Ogilvy uses a very good method to increase loyalty, starting from an employee’s first steps in the company. Imagine an alternate reality where words were a currency. In this reality, every word you utter depletes your life’s savings. I still carry it into every conversation, negotiation, and interaction as an adult. It turned into a life philosophy that I want to talk about today. 1. The Culture of Noise The world can’t stop talking. Silence is mistaken for absence. The hustle culture tricks you into thinking you always need to be busy and loud. This is a pursuit that is relentless, disguised as ambition. It constantly whispers that for you to be seen and to succeed, you must be the loudest, the fastest. Marketing campaigns like Nike's "Just Do It" pushes you to act without pause. It’s glorifying the grind above all else. These slogans become mantras, they embed themselves into our culture. They urge you to keep moving, keep shouting, keep striving — at the expense of quiet reflection and the deep, meaningful progress it can bring. It doesn't mute your impact—it magnifies it. It ensures that when you do speak, the world listens. 4. Observations from the Quiet Corner No strategy is perfect. In observing my own childhood beliefs that led me to gravitate towards a world of observation, I must also admit that I went a little too far. I want to bring this up, because you might be on one side of the equation, or the other. And it doesn’t mean that you can’t adjust along the way. Let me explain. When I was convinced that humans had a limited quantity of speech, I took it to the extreme. I remember various times when that happened. An example would be a disagreement in the car between my mom and my brother, for which I had the answer to break the argument. I asked myself: Is this worth my words? The answer was no, and so I let them argue some more, and went on with my thoughts. Obviously, at some point, I realized that this was not sustainable, nor was it accurate. But after years of doing this, it shaped the way I saw and interacted with the world. I choose my words carefully. I always listen and speak to a 90/10 ratio. I only talk when it’s pertinent, or necessary. The good: I always let people speak before me, whether in a group or with one on one. I usually have more information about their thoughts and intentions. They have less about me at any given point. This gives me leverage. I am pretty comfortable with silence. I use this tool for negotiations, sales. I gather data before making decisions. This applies to all areas of life. Some people shoot, then aim. Others aim, the shoot. I aim, I take a deep breath to steady myself. I tune into the subtle signs around me. I notice the shift of the wind, the whisper of leaves, and the hidden trails in the underbrush. I align my focus. Then, I deliver a kill shot. The not so good: The fear of public speaking stemmed from my belief that every word I spoke had to carry weight. The more people there were listening, the more crucial it became for my words to resonate equally with everyone. This amplified the pressure on each statement I made. Eventually, this expectation I set for myself became overwhelming. It led me to moments where I was simply paralyzed, unable to speak. To sum it up, the self-imposed pressure created social anxiety. There are two lesson I learned from this: When you believe in something hard enough, it has the power to shift your reality. It changes who you are and how you act. Fully committing in one direction means you’re getting further from the other side. Duality is real, and sometimes, you need to adjust. 5. Frameworks: Cultivating Observant Living Embracing a lifestyle of observance doesn't mean you have to adopt silence as a permanent state. While the underlying tech is growing 2x faster than the Internet in the 90s, it’s not transforming as many lives as it can. Loyalty schemes feature heavily in Web2’s attract-extract models. How are Web3 rewards different? The global loyalty management market was roughly $10.5 billion in 2023. It’ll possibly grow at over 9% till 2030. But consumers will only get a tiny share of this revenue, as usual. Web2 loyalty schemes are extractive because they work within walled gardens owned and controlled by centralized entities. Consumers mostly receive points or token money that have limited redeemability. You can use them at partner stores only, for example. Web3 rewards, on the contrary, can put real value in the consumer’s hands. Consumers can trade loyalty tokens in secondary markets or exchange them with their friends. That’s the power of interoperability. Plus, on-chain revenue models are usually transparent and verifiable, enhancing accountability. Have Web3 rewards evolved fully? If not, what are its main challenges? No. Lingo will take Web3 rewards over the line but there’s still a long way to go. Inferior design and sub-par incentives are the main problems.
