There’s a new way to raise money in town. It’s called an ICO, or Initial Coin Offering, and it’s poised to change the world. Andreessen Horowitz partner Balaji Srinivasan calls them “<a href="https://medium.com/@balajis/thoughts-on-tokens-436109aabcbe" target="_blank"><strong>Kickstarter on steroids</strong></a>.” ICO’s raised more than $150 million since January and more companies are looking to them as a game changer. Others <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-06-01/this-blockchain-bubble-might-be-a-good-thing" target="_blank">see only a big bubble</a>. Both of these descriptions fail to tell the whole story.
