Too Long; Didn't Read

Facebook's new cryptocurrency, Libra, was launched by Facebook as its new cryptocurrency. The coin is not even close to being decentralized and concerns a lot of people about not being accountable to people it may affect. The 28 founding members of Libra include Uber, Lyft, PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, eBay, et al, are elites and billion-dollar companies that can afford the $10 M requirement of running a Libra node. The company envisions Libra to become permissionless and trustless in the coming 5 years.
