A tech career can be a scary prospect for female graduates, particularly given the recent spate of <a href="https://qz.com/1012546/even-unicorns-need-a-moral-compass-uber-and-the-ultimate-toxicity-of-sexism/" target="_blank"><strong>unsavoury incidents</strong></a> that have been reported by women in tech. But while these problems most definitely exist, there are also innumerable positive stories and tales of success — like those of Australia’s <a href="https://www.themartec.com/insidelook/25-women-founders" target="_blank"><strong>female-founded startups</strong></a> — that hopefully encourage young women in STEM to take that first step.
