Too Long; Didn't Read
Google Maps has always been the de-facto locational map API that developers turn to. Foursquare has since migrated to Mapbox, as it seeks a cheaper alternative. Mapbox is an advanced and flexible map service that can be integrated into mobile apps. OpenStreetMap is a free, open-source project where volunteers contribute to creating routes, imagery, and other data for the map. Google Maps is highly reliable, particularly in returning accurate data on routes and locations for dynamic maps.
