Sport brings people together. Neither age, language nor the country of origin play a role here. The degree of intellectual disability should in no way determine who might benefit from this unique characteristic of the sport. Even more important are hereby actors like Special Olympics Switzerland to draw attention to how important sport is, especially for people with disabilities. Special Olympics shows to what extent, besides physical fitness, sport can contribute above all to self-esteem, self-reliance and the courage to try something new. Different events and sporting programs will make possible sharing of experiences with other athletes, family members and society. A disability simply means that you cannot do something that others can. This does not mean that you cannot have any goals and face challenges.

“The vision of appreciation, acceptance and equality for people with disabilities which is driving and embodying Special Olympics has left a lasting impression on all of us at the company. I am glad that we can show our social vein here and make our contribution,” says André Matter, Founder and Chairman of n’cloud.swiss AG.

The cloud provider from Seengen, Switzerland draws on an exciting company history, which was written by none other than André Matter himself, above all through ambition, visions, goals and tireless efforts. While the beginnings laid in consulting services for well-known large companies such as Citibank, Schindler AG or ABB Turbosystems, it is from the entrepreneur’s pen that n’cloud, one the first clouds in Europe, was introduced in 2009.

“To have visions and to breathe life into these by pursuing and realizing your goals with great zeal. That is exactly my motivation. Consequently, we as a company dare to make the big international breakthrough. If I can give something back with Special Olympics, from what I have achieved so far, I am all the more pleased”, emphasizes André Matter and wishes that many more donors join him. Further information about the foundation and about ways to actively contribute can be found on www.specialolympics.ch.
