TLDRvia the TL;DR App

The hustle, the grind, whatever you call it, we live in a time where people like to show that they are hard at work, but are they doing anything? A friend of mine once said to me “People lie, Numbers don’t” and when it’s all said and done, it’s the results that matter. People like E-commerce Guru Scott Hilse who went through adversity before he found his flow and established a six-figure Shopify store quite simply has the track record that shows his success. Producer Lil Texas has been part of the EDM scene for several years now and is finally hitting his stride bringing his signature ‘Texcore’ hardstyle sound to the masses. Instagram juggernaut Jessica Bartlett has cultivated her influencer persona on the platform and uses her experience and expertise to help brands do the same. Everipedia Director of Software Kedar Iyer had traveled the world and the seven seas before becoming involved in blockchain development and worked his fingers off to perfect his craft to become one of the most respected developers in the field. And EOS Bots aims to optimize how users interact with the EOS blockchain through its family of products. Learn more about each one of this week’s Everipedia Culture Roundup honorees below.

Scott Hilse on top of the Space Needle

Scott Hilse

When people say entrepreneurship is dead, they are just are not looking hard enough. Growing up just outside of St. Louis, Scott Hilse always had dreams of working for himself and having the financial freedom to live the life he wanted. Hilse saw opportunity in e-commerce and dropshipping and carved his own unique strategy with his one product store method selling iPhone cases. Although he failed at first, it was only after moving to LA and driving Uber for a few months that Hilse decided to give his store a second try but this time with a refined Facebook ad strategy. It worked, tremendously, and he was making hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from his online store. Since then, Hilse has had his method endorsed by the likes of Tai Lopez and Oberlo and created a course to teach others how to execute it successfully. Now, the question is what will Hilse do next?

Action shot of Lil Texas

Lil Texas

Sam Barry, better known as, Lil Texas is known for his hardcore originality to his hardstyle sound. Pioneering his signature ‘Texcore’, Barry ramps up the BPM to 200 to create heart-stopping and gut-wrenching music that is extremely novel and has received support from the likes of Porter Robinson, G Jones, and more. Barry is from Texas (obviously) but currently calls Los Angeles his home and his career is clearly on the rise. Being active in the rave scene since 2012, Lil Texas has blessed audiences with his relentless sounds at Basscon, Space Yacht, and Brownies & Lemonade and will be playing at Beyond Wonderland this month. With Texas, you either go BIG or go home.

She worked as the social media manager for SRC Speciality Restaurants Corporation and gained enough experience to start her own company Pongea where she was naturally their Director of Marketing. Bartlett is from California and was a part of a national championship cheerleading squad growing up. Now, she is a champion in the digital marketing space with a growing following and list of clientele.

A black and white picture of Kedar Iyer

Kedar Iyer

Everipedia’s very own Director of Software Kedar Iyer was this week’s guest on IQ TALK and shared some interesting stories, to say the least. In college, Kedar’s Chinese food delivery service, Ching Chong Ling Long Gourmet Takeout, made international headlines due to its name and after college, he traversed the world. During his travels, Kedar started a Tinder-like dating app while stranded in India and found his way to Ireland where he was sleeping on the side of the road with his friends when they weren’t working on farms in the countryside. Kedar would eventually found his way to New York City where he would be introduced to blockchain and start playing around in the developing side of the industry. He was first involved in the Ethereum community, even co-authoring a book about smart contracts, before joining Everipedia. Currently, Kedar is one of the most respected developers in the EOS community and specializes in security. Everipedia is truly lucky to have Kedar on board!

EOS Bots

As the EOS blockchain ecosystem evolves, so will the tools and needs of the users on it. EOS Bots is an application that allows users to securely automate actions on the blockchain with the goal with maximizing efficiency. Their first product release specifically focuses on the gaming community and they created a bot that maximizes tokens earned during gameplay. With automation a staple of our technological lives off the blockchain, it is only logical that more advancements of it would happen on blockchain-related technology. For example, one could easily see a future where developers create bots for Everipedia that fix grammar mistakes, update birthdays, etc. For now, EOS Bots is an exciting development for sure!
