Too Long; Didn't Read

I Took a COBOL Course and It Wasn't The Worst. Here’s what I learned about the decades-old language. More than half of the companies use COBol more than half use it, according to a survey. It's used for large-scale transaction processing, calculating sales for 5 million transactions, and is used quietly processing our transactions every day. More than 25 companies use it for finance and administrative purposes. It's still used everywhere. Folks love to make jokes, but this is a language that strives for reliability.
