Too Long; Didn't Read

In this blog I will demonstrate deploying a <a href="https://cosmicjs.com/apps/vue-ecommerce-app" target="_blank">Vue Ecommerce Website</a> in 3 steps. This website is a simple e-commerce app built with Nuxt and Cosmic JS. Stripe is integrated as the payment processor. Flexbox based Bulma framework is used for styling, along with Buefy components. The app was built by <a href="https://cosmicjs.com/althaffe" target="_blank">Muhammad Althaf</a> for the Cosmic JS Community and was built on Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Node.js and Cosmic JS.

In this blog I will demonstrate deploying a Vue Ecommerce Website in 3 steps. This website is a simple e-commerce app built with Nuxt and Cosmic JS. Stripe is integrated as the payment processor. Flexbox based Bulma framework is used for styling, along with Buefy components. The app was built by Muhammad Althaf for the Cosmic JS Community and was built on Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Node.js and Cosmic JS.

Install and manage your Vue Ecommerce Website and all of its content from your Cosmic JS Bucket Dashboard. Simple. 😎 You can refer to the original tutorial below to build the app from scratch, or continue reading to simply deploy the Vue Ecommerce Website in 3 Steps.

We’ll be using Cosmic JS to install our example app, deploy and make content updates moving forward. Cosmic JS is an API-first Content Management Platform that allows developers to build apps in any programming language while giving content editors a familiar content editor to manage dynamic content from the cloud. If you haven’t already, get started by Signing Up for Cosmic JS.

1. Create a New Bucket

Your bucket’s name is the name of your website, project, client or web application that you are building.

2. Install the Vue Ecommerce Website

Cosmic JS gives you the ability to filter between frameworks and programming languages such as Node.js, Vue.js, React, AngularJS and more.

3. Deploy to Web

Navigate to “Deploy Web App” located underneath Settings in your left hand navigation bar in your Bucket Dashboard. I clicked “Deploy to Web”. I can then edit Objects while my web application is deploying. You will receive an email confirming the deployment of your web application. If you encounter any issues during deployment, you may be routed to the Cosmic JS Troubleshooting Page.

I’m using the content-ready app from Muhammad Althaf in the Cosmic JS Community, so I’ll use his Master Repo:

Now that your app is deployed to the Cosmic JS App Server, you’re free to completely manage your Vue Ecommerce Website and all of its content from one place.
