Nearly 63% of US companies have employees who work remotely. The number of Americans working remotely rose from 24% to 31% from 2012 to 2016. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018. The EU based companies have been trying to adjust their policies to meet the requirements of the new regulations.
