So, you want to launch your own token? You totally can! And even better, you might make a fortune — up to an impressive $2 if you convince your friend to buy some (before transaction fees). Trust me, I’m Head of Marketing at Web3 marketing agency — I know exactly what to do. Just follow these five simple steps, and you’ll be well on your way to... well, probably nothing. How to Launch a Token 1) Many crypto gurus use ChatGPT to create a name and concept for their tokens. Be more creative! Coming up with a token name is hard. You need something that sounds futuristic but also slightly scammy. Many so-called "crypto experts" just ask ChatGPT for ideas, but let’s be honest — it’s overused. Do you really want to launch QuantumX or MetaDoge like a thousand others? No. You’re better than that. Use DeepSeek instead! You can get some unique creative names for your token, such as 比特币 or 以太坊! And don’t forget the concept! Make it something vague yet ambitious. Say it will "redefine decentralized finance" or "bring real-world utility to Web3". Honestly, you can write anything/ No one actually reads the whitepaper anyway. 2) Copy Ethereum code. Just change the name Blockchain development is hard. You have to spend years mastering programming and crypto. We don’t have so much time. We need money now! Good thing someone already did the hard work for you. Ethereum’s code is open-source, which means you can copy it, rename it, and pretend you invented something new. That’s basically how half the tokens out there were born. No need to reinvent the wheel — just tweak a few lines, slap your fancy DeepSeek-generated name on it, and boom! You created a new revolutional token. If anyone asks about security or scalability, just throw around words like “layer 3” “quantum computing” and “AI”. They’ll nod like they understand. And remember, the less effort you put into real development, the more time you have for what actually matters — hyping it up. 3) Add liquidity. You should add at least $1 million to start with Nobody wants to buy a token with zero liquidity. That’s like opening a casino with no cash to pay out winnings. Big players need to see big numbers. How can I make motivation part of my life to do things that will help me achieve my goals in the long run? For me, motivation was a state of mind. Some days I was all excited and motivated to get to my toughest goals and important tasks that I had avoided in the past. Then there were other times I felt lost, unsure of how to make even tiny progress on things I got to do. I knew that none of our desires can be fulfilled without motivation - eating healthy, working out, sleeping better, reading more, being or anything else that we wish to achieve. Like other human beings, I was completely irrational. I did not do what was in my best interest even though I wanted it badly. I rationalised my inaction as lack of motivation and attributed it to being too busy or too lazy to do things I should really be doing. Then, I had this aha moment. I learnt that motivation doesn’t happen to us, it’s a muscle that we need to build. That simple truth completely changed my life. It's what inspired me to design and set my own motivation flywheel in action. Even though I had to attend classes only 3 days a week, I ended up postponing each day while lying to myself “I will finish this work today and definitely make it to the class tomorrow”. As I continued missing my classes and practice, I felt terrible. It impacted me emotionally but I didn’t do anything to fix the situation. Then one Saturday morning, I thought about the problem. Instead of asking “How can I continue to attend the classes?”, I applied inversion to my thinking and questioned “What prevents me from attending them?” I realised that the biggest obstacle to motivation was making the daily decision - finishing up the work or making it to the class? So, I decided to block 3 days of the week for my classes and moved all my other activities around it. Once on my calendar, I removed a barrier to daily decision-making that enabled me to achieve my personal as well as professional goals. I no longer had to make a decision, simply attend the class as the decision has been made. A tiny step in the right direction (the simple act of scheduling it on my calendar) kicked in the motivation and the schedule assisted me to stick to it. Interestingly, it also helped me get better at my job as I was able to spend more mental energy on my work and less dealing with the fear of missing my class again. As any SEO will tell you, more backlinks do not always mean higher authority. But in this case, Hackernoon is truly a bigger brand and is a lot more well known than its competitor. Google, in this case, has decided to trust a 200 word article on HN over a competitor piece that is ten times its size. The contrast between various websites competing for attention on Google is not always this evident. This is because of what I already mentioned — there are over 200 factors at play here. The Google Search algorithm assesses every page it crawls on all these different factors and comes up with a unique way to rank them for any specific keyword. The simple trick to beating competition on Google is this — find how the various web pages measure up for the various SEO factors and produce content that can beat it. But again, this is easier said than done since everything that we know about Google’s search algorithm is an educated guess at best — there is no foolproof way to beating competition unless one could peek into Google’s algorithm. Competitor Analysis Tool When I check this keyword on Google, the top ranking page is from NeilPatel.com. In this article, the author has tried to strategically use the term “competitive analysis” instead of “competition analysis” several times throughout the blog post. So for this analysis, this is the synonym I will be using. Synonyms are essentially alternate forms of the keyword that is used for diversity and to tell Google that you are not actually trying to stuff the same keyword over and over again in the article for the purpose of ranking. In case you are curious — this is the report that was generated for this term: https://www.digitalauthority.org/public-report/NjQ= Word Count According to this report, each of the top five results on Google for the keyword in question is extremely content-heavy. The shortest article in the top 5 results is 1591 words The biggest article in the top 5 has over 4982 words The average word count among top 3 listings is 3118 words In short, the word count ranges between 1755 words and 4982 words. Admittedly, the NeilPatel article has dozens of comments and they are included in the word count mentioned. In any case, for us to even have a shot at the top, it is important to write an article that has at least 2000 words. That will still make this article only bigger than one of the top 5. But that’s a start. Keyword Density Keyword density is one of the many ways to measure the relevance of a web page to any specific search query. In our case, both ‘competitor analysis tool’ and ‘competitive analysis’ shall be used to measure keyword density. In this case, the report from DigitalAuthority.org appears a little suspicious. The first result has a keyword density of 47%! The other two results in the top 3 have keyword densities between 9–10% There is one other listing in the top 10 with a keyword density of over 47% While results from websites like Sproutsocial and Shanebarker appear to have a keyword density of over 47%, this is perhaps because of sections like this: Notice the number of times ‘competitor analysis tools’ gets mentioned in this short section on the SproutSocial article. The keyword appears over six times in under 60 words. On the other hand, the articles on Brandwatch and NeilPatel have a more reasonable keyword density of between 9% to 10%. DigitalAuthority.org recommends having a KD of just about 9% and that is what we will be aiming for in this article. While our competitive analysis does show that having a very keyword heavy article could help us in our rankings, 47% is a ridiculously high figure. There is a case for Google to penalize such listings in future for keyword stuffing. So we will stay away from that. Keywords In Title A lot of SEOs recommend not having to bother about exact match titles and meta tags anymore since Google has become a lot more sophisticated than what it was ten years back. However, when it comes to this particular competitor analysis report, it does seem like title match is a vital component for ranking. As you can see from the DigitalAuthority.org report above, 7 out of 10 top ranking pages for this query have the keyword mentioned in the title of the article. When it comes to using the keywords in the H1 header however, it is a mixed result — 50% of the ranking pages have the keyword included while others don’t. In my opinion, Google is not taking this into consideration while ranking pages; at least for this query. Readability Score This is one of the commonly overlooked aspects of SEO competition analysis. Your article needs to be easy to read for the audience it is targeted to. For the keyword “competitor analysis tool” however, the readability score for the top five pages doesn’t seem to indicate anything. Take a look at the report from DigitalAuthority.org Notice how short the paragraphs are! The top 3 results have an average readability score of 50.1 The highest score is for Spyfu (a homepage link, while most other links are blog articles) at 91 The worst score is for the SEMRush at number 9 (again a homepage link) at 28.5 The ideal readability score is around 60 for web copies. Yet, only one page from NeilPatel.com (listed number 3) appears to be in this range. All the other pages (barring SEMRush at number 9) have pretty poor readability scores. The takeaway from this is that readability score doesn’t seem to matter all that much; at least for this query. Part of your article’s readability comes from how long your paragraphs are. The average words per paragraph for the top 10 pages is just 15 words. I am guilty of writing long paragraphs for my articles. Perhaps this means that I must be more careful and keep my paragraphs short. See what I just did? ;-) Bulleted Lists Truth be told, I am not big on using ordered or unordered lists in articles. I have written hundreds (or maybe even thousands) of articles for various websites over the years. I can barely recall a time I consciously used ordered or bulleted lists in my articles. But I found something very interesting in the DigitalAuthority.org reports for the keyword “competitor analysis tool”. Take a look. You will now find several bulleted lists throughout this article) Headers How important is it to have your keywords included in the header tags? At the outset, having your keyword in the title may not seem to matter much 5 out of 10 pages in the SERP listing do not have the keyword in their H1 tag Only 4 in 10 pages have the keyword in the H2 tag However, the number one ranked page from SproutSocial has an overwhelming number of H2 tags with keywords in them. 7 out of 10 headers with keyword in them does seem like an overkill. Yet, it seemed to have worked for them. At the same time, none of the other sites that are equally good with content marketing (like NeilPatel) seem to have bothered with stuffing keywords in their headers. What it does tell me is that while stuffing keywords in the header can help you rank, it is not a necessity. If you play well with the other ranking factors, Google might give you a pass. For this article, I decided to take the middle ground. While I do not certainly want to take the extreme approach of SproutSocial, I do want to indicate to Google that this article is about competition analysis. There are hence a handful of headers with the keyword included in them. Nofollowing External Links A number of websites, including popular business ones like Entrepreneur, Forbes and Inc today nofollow all their external links by default. This policy has generated quite a bit of controversy since these websites do not mind getting inbound dofollow links, but at the same time, deny the privilege to those they are willfully linking out to. The average words to external link ratio is still between 40 to 120 for the top 5 ranking pages. The crucial takeaway from this is that nofollowing external links does not necessarily matter when it comes to ranking. Also, link generously for every 50–100 words of your article. I should note here that this section possibly only analyzes the main content section of the ranking page. If you have a comment section on your article, it is safe to keep it nofollowed since you cannot vouch for the authority of those commenting. Domain Metrics The strength of your domain plays a heavy role in determining your ability to rank on the first page. But how heavy a role? A screenshot from this part of the DigitalAuthority.org report should tell you. Here are some observations The youngest website in the top 10 of this list is LXMarketplace.com and that’s 8 years old. The top 3 websites are between 10–22 years old The average Moz DA of the top 3 sites is a whopping 80.67 On average, the top 3 websites have around 7.5 million backlinks The top ranking websites are all in the top-most tier of marketing websites on the internet today. If I have to beat them in the SERPs, there is no way I can do it with my own website that neither has the age or backlink profile to back it up. According to this competitive analysis report, the only realistic way to doing this if I publish this on an equally top-tier website myself. Choosing a publishing platform As we saw in the previous section, the top ranking pages for this keyword are from websites that are at least 10 years old and have several millions of backlinks pointed at them. Hackernoon is a relatively younger website. However, they have terrific domain authority and a healthy number of backlinks. This makes them a good site to compete with. In addition to this, here are some reasons why I pick this platform. Hackernoon has a pretty quick page load time according to Moz. Allows meta description Has fewer URL segments (1) than the currently ranking pages The one thing I am not convinced about is the fact that most of Hackernoon articles do not have ALT tags in their images. I trade crypto for short term gains because I believe in its long term prospects This is a glimpse into my strategy of trading and I hope it helps someone wake up and stop making losses. There are fundamental realities that I have come to terms with that affects the crypto world. Structuring your trading after those facts will help you trade well. (Unfortunately, the vice versa doesn’t work) Every coin will have its day Follow these 5 points and you’ll never lose money in crypto trading. Develop a strategy that respects these laid out points. Now, I must add that crypto trading is not a job. I do not consider it a job and certainly do not recommend it to anyone as a job. A job is what you do to add value that you are paid for. If you are buying and selling without doing anything to what you bought between the time you bought and sold, then that is not a job. It’s just a nice, smart skill. So, . This is because you will be desperate and unexpected market turns will make you literally sick. So, the ground rule of crypto trading is to have a source of income that can pay for your lifestyle already. Then crypto trading can help with the occasional big money flows. if you don’t have a job or a good source of income and you rely solely on crypto trading for income, you will lose money and will be a bad trader To make money and never lose it is very simple in crypto. All you have to do is to never sell when you are in losses. And one way to see to that is to . How do you know the dip is the dip? Simple! Generate the chart; look at the 1 hr (that tells you what is happening at the moment), then the 12 hr (that tells you what the recent story is), then the 3 day (to know how it got to the 12 hr scenario) and finally the 1 month (to get the broad perspective). If you want to take a step further into genius, compare the long term coin chart with the chart of bitcoin of the same time frame. That will tell you what price is really the dip (relative to the price of bitcoin). only buy the dip Just because you caught the dip doesn’t mean it can’t go dipper. How to catch the dip in the first place is to use limit order. My tip is to use like 1/4th of the amount you have set apart for this particular trade for this first dip. Then, set a price alarm for perhaps 3% further dip. If it achieves this in a very short time, go buy again with 1/8th of the amount you set for it. If the timeline is quite longer, another 1/4 might be ideal. And then on and on like that if it continues to dip. But then when it surges over your initial buy price by 6% (or even less, this depends on you) begin to sell gradually. Use limit order also. Check what the highest price for the day was and set a price a few inches lower. (unless of course if you are holding for the long term or planning to use crypto coin for something different). When trading volume begins to stagnate, that is your cue to take the rest of your stake out while you are still in profit This is of course not an investment advice, it is just a glimpse into how I do my things. I do not get steady income from it but when I rake in, I rake in good. . Sometimes it’s hours, sometimes it takes weeks. But I’m not in a hurry, so I never lose money. Gmail canned messages — make a robot do the typing If you’re anything like me, you feel like you’re writing the same email over and over again. I have stock text to go with proposals, first drafts, chase ups — you name it. Somewhere in my system I have a document called “standard wording” which I thought was a bit of revelation when I wrote. Sending a proposal? Open, cut and paste, send. Easy! Imagine my joy when I stumbled across Gmail’s canned messages. Now I have that standard text stored in my system, so the next time I need one, there’s no searching, cutting or pasting. I just click the arrow button in the lower right-hand corner of window, choose the message, personalise and hit send. You can set responses to go out automatically, based on things like who sent it, and if they’ve used a keyword, label or subject. It goes without saying that if you’d like help penning these stock responses, we’re your copy writers. Boomerang — email super powers is another Gmail add-on, and I love it. I use it like an ad-hoc CRM system. Boomerang It does two things: Sends emails at a set time Boomerangs emails back to you if your recipient hasn’t responded. Here are some of the ways I use it: Automatic proposal follow-ups I Boomerang every proposal email, with a specific set of keywords. If they don’t respond in a day, I get the email back, which triggers an automatic Canned Message to follow them up. Genius! If that sounds too hard, a Boomeranged email will at least remind you not to let a hot lead get cold Managing delivery I schedule emails a lot. Here’s a secret: mostly things take me a while to write. But if I hit a stroke of inspiration, I get stuff done really, really quickly. When that happens, I don’t just send it back to the client. Why? Because people start to get used to turn around times that simply aren’t always achievable. So I schedule emails to go out later — still ahead of time, but not so much that I’m shooting future me in the foot. That way, I can get that project out of my head for a while. Keeping warm leads on the burner I also used scheduled emails to keep track of warm leads. If a client tells me they’ll be ready to talk in a week or two, I’ll say “great!” and then It’s a genius move, I know. I used to put reminders in my diary. Now I write the email immediately and just schedule it in. You’ll be surprised at how many people genuinely do want to work with you. actually email them again in a week or two. Pxlr — stop stealing images These days social media is visual. I’ve seen it in action. A post with a powerful, beautiful image will always outperform one with no image or a low-quality image. So mostly people steal them from the net. Let me tell you now: you should stop doing that. Not only is it ethically questionable, it’s also bad for business. Creating your own images is often faster because you avoid those lost hours clicking through a search result. It will also give you the chance to start building a visual style so that people connect all your images together. OK! You’re sold! But oh. Have you seen how expensive Photoshop is? Well, never fear, is basically Photoshop for free. As long as you’re not trying to retouch Michael Jackson into your family photo, it’ll do everything you need: adjust colours, add stickers and type, free-hand draw, rotate, crop and resize, get rid of red-eye — you name it. Pxlr Squarespace — get a great website, free Stop asking web developers to build you a single page website. It’s not worth their time and it’s not worth your money. Instead, roll up your sleeves and get onto . So easy to use, so beautiful and free to design — you just pay them to host your site.
