As a product builderš, I built micro tools to solve my own problems. For example: Notion habit tracker, finance tracker, book tracker, CRM tracker, and portfolio tracker.
In this Notion guide, Iāll share my process of creating a one-page Notion personal website to showcase your work, project and portfolio. Iāll also share a copy of my free Notion template with you.
1. Brief Bio Section
Letās begin with your portfolio pageās main header.
My bio section contains 3 simple elements: Profile picture, Name, and Social links
To add these Bio components in Notion:
- Profile picture: Add the ā/imageā component and upload your bio photo.
- Name: Add the ā/3 columnsā component to make three blocks with your name in the centre.
- Social links: To create the social link section, add ā/databaseāāāinline.ā
2. About Page
You can also expand your bio by creating a About page to highlight these details:
- āļø Current work (your latest project)
- ā¬ ļø Previous work (your past work experience)
- š§ Expertise (showcase your professional skills)
- ā¤ļø Global mentions (highlight your international feature)
- š Fun fact (share some little-known facts)
- š§āāļø Hobby (personal interests and activities)
- šļø Favorite quotes (what drives you?)

To create the About detail in Notion:
- Add a ā/Databaseāāāinlineā component to create the database table
- Inside the 1st column of your table database, create these items (āļø Current work, ā¬ ļø Previous work, š§ Expertise and so on)
- Inside the database table, add a āMulti-selectā component (renamed as Detail) as your 2nd column to generate the colourful tags for each item.
3. Resources & Guides
You can also feature your top articles and blog content by creating a Notion directory.
Hereās my example:

To create the Notion database directory:
Start by adding a table database (/Databaseāāāinline) in Notion and create these properties within the database:
- Name property (for the blog title)
- Select property (for the content category)
- URL property (website link to the blog post)
- Files & media property (to add a cover image for the blog post)
Once youāve filled up the blog cover images, titles, tags and links, you can change the āLayoutā from āTableā to āGalleryā. Customize the āGallery viewā to display the cover image using āFiles & media propertyā:
4. Project Section
If youāre working at a company or seeking new job opportunities, you can create a Project / Portfolio section in Notion. For example, you can include things like:
- companyās projects
- clientās projects
- freelancing projects
- side projects
- volunteer projects
- entrepreneurial pursuit
Because I build and monetize a portfolio of products on the Internet full-time, I wanted to include a list of active projects that Iām currently running. Hereās my example:
5. Social Proof
Testimonials, client appreciation, and reader comments are powerful assets that increase your influence and credibility.
I created this Social Proof section in Notion by inserting two āImageā blocks, one on the left and one on the right, and then uploading the screenshots:
